This added body ply is stronger than the hulls of expensive yachts and 3 to 4 times thicker than the leading domestically produced fiberglass sports car. But that's not all. The classic two-tone color scheme is of a polymer gel coat impregnated into the body material. Not only is this method of finishing a car four to five times more durable than ordinary automotive paint jobs, all the exterior surfaces are totally colored, making the car impervious to harsh road chemicals and salts.
